Under the table is an original piece of furniture made for the project "Future tradition". The idea for the design is based on the observation that traditional ornaments are “banned“ in modern furniture design. In my work, I am reinterpreting this trend by making the ornaments a secret hidden inside the table.

The table is made of burnt and brushed ash, with a undercarriage of stainless steel. Ornaments made of tiny strips of aluminium is inlayed in the drawer bottoms. The drawers pops out by pushing on secret buttons.

The work was carried out using both modern, computer-based technology and old, traditional woodworking techniques.
